This Privacy Policy explains how BARTREKKER LTD ("BarTrekker", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores and protects personal information when you use the BarTrekker mobile application, website, ticketing services and related services (together, the "Service").
BarTrekker is committed to handling personal information responsibly and in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) and other applicable local data protection laws.

Depending on how you use BarTrekker, we may collect the following categories of information.

When you create a BarTrekker account, we may collect:

- account creation information; and
- other information you voluntarily provide.
An email address is used to identify your BarTrekker account.
2.2 Ticket and Event information
When you purchase or use a Ticket, we may collect information relating to:
- the Event purchased;
- Ticket number or identifier;
- QR Code information;
- purchase date and time;
- Event date and time;
- participating Venues;
- Ticket status;
- Ticket usage;
- cancellation or refund information; and
- communications concerning the Event.
This information is required to administer your Ticket and provide the Event.
3. Payment Information
Payments made through BarTrekker are processed using Stripe.
Where Stripe processes your payment, BarTrekker does not ordinarily receive or store your complete payment card number or card security information.
We may receive information such as:
- payment status;
- transaction identifier;
- amount paid;
- currency;
- date and time of payment;
- payment method type;
- refund status; and
- limited information required to identify and administer the transaction.
Stripe may process additional personal information in accordance with its own privacy policy and applicable data protection requirements.
4. Information About Your Use of the App
When you use BarTrekker, we may collect technical and usage information such as:
- device type;
- operating system;
- App version;
- device identifiers where applicable;
- IP address;
- date and time of access;
- technical logs;
- security information; and
- information about interactions with the Service.
We may use Google Analytics to help us understand how Customers use the Service and to improve the performance and functionality of BarTrekker. Where consent is required by applicable law, analytics remain switched off until you agree, and you may change that choice at any time in the app.
We also use Firebase Crashlytics to record diagnostic information when the App stops unexpectedly, including the error, the state of the App at the time, the device model and operating system version. This is used to find and fix faults.
The precise information collected will depend on the technical configuration of the App and the services integrated with it.
5. Location Information
5.1
BarTrekker does not ordinarily directly track your GPS location for the purpose of navigating you between Venues. The BarTrekker App may provide links or instructions that allow you to open a third-party mapping application on your device.
5.2
When you choose to use a third-party mapping service, that service may process your location information in accordance with its own privacy policy and settings. Examples may include services such as:
- Google Maps;
- Apple Maps; or
- another mapping provider supported by your device.
5.3
BarTrekker does not control the personal information collected directly by those third-party mapping providers. You should review the privacy settings and policies of the mapping service you choose to use.
6. Event Notifications
BarTrekker may use notifications to help operate Events. These may include:
- reminders;
- Event start notifications;
- instructions;
- route notifications;
- Venue notifications;
- changes to Event arrangements;
- important safety or operational information; and
- other communications necessary to operate an Event.
Some notifications may be essential to the operation of an Event.
You may be able to control certain notification permissions through your device settings.
7. Customer Service Communications
If you contact BarTrekker, we may collect information contained in your communication. This may include:
- your name;
- email address;
- telephone number;
- account information;
- Ticket information;
- Event information;
- details of your enquiry; and
- information you voluntarily provide.
We use this information to respond to your enquiry, investigate complaints and provide customer support.
8. How We Use Personal Information

- create and manage accounts;
- process Ticket purchases;
- issue Tickets and QR Codes;
- administer Events;
- provide Event information;
- send Event notifications;
- communicate with participating Venues where necessary;
- process refunds;
- provide customer support; and
- operate the BarTrekker platform.
8.2 Manage payments
Including to:
- process transactions;
- confirm payments;
- process refunds;
- detect potentially fraudulent transactions;
- investigate payment disputes; and
- maintain financial and transaction records.
8.3 Protect BarTrekker and its users
Including to:
- detect fraud;
- investigate suspicious activity;
- prevent misuse of Tickets;
- protect the security of the Service;
- prevent unauthorised access;
- investigate breaches of our Terms and Conditions; and
- protect Customers, participating Venues and BarTrekker.
8.4 Improve the Service
We may use appropriate technical and usage information to:
- understand how the App is used;
- identify technical problems;
- improve performance;
- develop new features;
- troubleshoot errors; and
- improve the Customer experience.
8.5 Communicate with you
We may use your contact information to provide:
- purchase confirmations;
- Ticket information;
- Event information;
- changes to Events;
- cancellation information;
- important service announcements;
- customer service responses; and
- other communications relating to your use of BarTrekker.
8.6 Comply with legal obligations
We may process personal information where necessary to comply with applicable:

- regulatory requirements;
- accounting obligations; and

Where the EU GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal information using one or more lawful bases.

- processing your Ticket;
- providing Event information;
- administering your Event;
- processing refunds; and
- providing customer support relating to your purchase.

- new Venues;

- products;
- services; and
- other BarTrekker activities.
Where required by law, we will obtain your consent before sending direct marketing communications.
You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time. Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not prevent us from sending essential communications relating to your account, Ticket or Event.
11. Who We Share Information With
We may share personal information with selected third parties where necessary to operate BarTrekker.
11.1 Payment providers
BarTrekker uses Stripe to process payments, refunds and payment-related transactions. Stripe may process personal information necessary to provide its payment services and may process information in accordance with its own privacy policy.
11.2 Technology and hosting providers
BarTrekker uses Firebase, provided by Google, for hosting and related technical infrastructure supporting the Service. Firebase may process information necessary to provide these technical services.
11.3 Analytics providers
BarTrekker uses Google Analytics to help us understand how Customers use the Service, identify trends, improve functionality and measure the performance of the Service. Google Analytics may collect technical and usage information in accordance with its applicable privacy practices and configuration. Where required by applicable law, BarTrekker will obtain the necessary consent before using non-essential analytics technologies.
11.4 Participating Venues
We may provide participating Venues with limited information necessary to administer an Event. For example, this may include information necessary to:
- validate a Ticket;
- confirm attendance;
- verify a QR Code;
- administer an Event benefit; or
- resolve an Event-related issue.
We will not provide Venues with personal information that is unnecessary for these purposes.
11.5 Professional advisers
We may share personal information with professional advisers where reasonably necessary, including:
- lawyers;
- accountants;
- auditors;
- insurers;
- financial advisers; and
- other professional advisers.
11.6 Authorities and legal recipients
We may disclose personal information where required or permitted by law, including to:
- courts;
- regulators;
- law enforcement;
- government authorities; or
- other authorised bodies.
12. Third-Party Service Providers
Some services used by BarTrekker may process personal information on our behalf.

- security and fraud information may be retained where reasonably necessary to protect BarTrekker and its users.
When personal information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete it or otherwise securely dispose of it, subject to applicable legal requirements.

Where appropriate, we will delete or anonymise personal information associated with your account.

- fraud prevention;
- security;
- dispute resolution; or

Deleting your account does not necessarily cancel or refund Tickets that have already been purchased.

The BarTrekker website and certain parts of the Service may use cookies and similar technologies. These may be used for:

- remembering preferences;
- analytics;
- improving performance; and
- marketing where legally permitted.
Where legally required, we will obtain consent before placing non-essential cookies or similar technologies.
We will request permission on our website and app before we collect any data to be used for analytics.
21. Children's Privacy
BarTrekker accounts may only be created by persons aged 18 or over.
BarTrekker does not knowingly permit children under 18 to create BarTrekker accounts or purchase Tickets.
Certain Events may permit individuals under 18 to attend or participate where expressly stated in the Event information. Where an Event permits under-18 participation, the relevant personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the arrangements for that Event.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to BarTrekker in circumstances where this was not permitted, please contact us.
22. Information You Provide About Other People
You must not provide BarTrekker with another person's personal information unless you have a lawful basis or appropriate permission to do so.
Where you purchase multiple Tickets, you may be responsible for ensuring that any information you provide concerning other participants is accurate and lawfully provided.

BarTrekker may contain links or integrations with third-party websites and applications. These may include:
- mapping services;
- payment services;
- Venue websites;
- social media services; and
- other external platforms.
BarTrekker does not control the privacy practices of independent third parties. You should review their respective privacy policies before providing personal information to them.
24. Automated Decision-Making
BarTrekker does not currently intend to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about Customers solely through automated processing.
If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any information and rights required by applicable law.
25. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes may be necessary because of:
- changes to the Service;
- new features;
- changes to our technology providers;
- changes to applicable law;
- changes to our processing activities; or
- other operational or legal requirements.
The latest version will be made available through the BarTrekker Service or website.
Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before implementing material changes.
